So I spent today at a Reading Is Fundamental coordinator meeting. It was a lovely morning of networking and socializing with dedicated representatives (teachers, principals, librarians, and PARENTS) from all over Chicago, who work in and with our public schools in our toughest neighborhoods. I was honored to be among those men and women.

Also, I scored this sweet shirt.

After RIF distributed books to the York Alternative High School in the Cook County Jail, a young man wrote in a thank you note to RIF: “Da Books be crackn.”

They printed the t-shirts in his handwriting.
